What Next?

I'm sure everyone has heard the news about the horrible tragedy in Connecticut. We will never understand the thoughts going through the head of anyone who intentially kills someone, especially children.

It's nothing but evil. You can't understand it and you can't reason with it. It's evil and it's everywhere. However, God has given us Free Will. We have the ability to choose what we do and how we react.

Evil wants us angry, wants us to get even. If we stay angry evil wins.

What should we do? Love, forgive, and think about all the great things in the world. Is it easy right now? No. We need to keep trying though. Just as you have the ability to do bad, you have the ability to love and be good.

To honor those who were killed, don't stay angry. Find a way to forgive. Keep the good in your heart. It's the Christmas season, keep the spirit of that in your heart.

Prove we are stronger than evil. Help someone else. Make someone smile. Hug someone (someone you know would be good!). Keep loving!

The Power of Positive

I'm sure most of you have seen or heard about the New York City policeman that bought a pair of boots for a homeless man. The news of this spread with a picture that someone took and posted of the policeman in front of the homeless man putting on the boots.

This was a policeman helping a homeless man, but really it was a man helping another man. The policeman could have walked by but something made him stop, or Someone.

One person helping another person, really that's all it was but...

Did you ever wonder what the power of positive is? One man helping another. It just happened to get caught on camera and posted on Facebook. It went from that to the newspapers and TV. I'm sure it has been scene and heard all around the world. Literally, this story has been told to millions of people now.

One man, one positive event, impacting millions. This story has been told in churches, work places, and schools all over the world. One simple act of kindness that I'm sure has inspired others to do the same. One act that others have modeled or can use as an example to help out. The world doesn't always need those "big things". We just need the small ones, millions of small ones.

If each of us does one small thing, it can spread too. We just saw how one thing can impact millions. That's the Power of Positive! One thing can make a difference, one person can make a difference. Just one simple thing can impact millions and millions!
