How often do you experience something or someone that tries to influence you in a negative way? Sometimes it's a "friend" who tries to get you to do something you know you shouldn't do. Sometimes it's more subtle than that though.
Sometimes we are in situations that try to change us. How often are you at work, at school, or at home and you get frustrated by what is happening? You might be upset with a peer, friend, boss, or a spouse. They might have said something or done something that got you angry.
Sometimes we react to the situation. Sometimes we want to get even. If they hurt us, we want to hurt them.
What should we do? You know what the right thing is though. Don't let your emotions get the better of you. Don't let the situation change you. Don't let someone else or something else change you.
Ultimately you control you. Only you can control what you do and how you feel. Don't let anyone or anything change you in a negative way. Don't react to situations in a bad way. Step back for a few minutes and think about how you are acting. Are you acting in a way your mom would be proud? Would you be proud to tell your children what you did?
Make sure what you do is positive.
